
ISCB SHORT COURSE – HOSTED BY ACCELSIORS
Visit this ISCB short course in biostatistics led by Stephen Senn in Budapest!
On behalf of the organizers, Julia Singer announced that the Hungarian Society for Clinical Biostatistics will deliver an ISCB-supported short course to be held by Stephen Senn, entitled The design and analysis of n-of-1 trials. The course will take place in Budapest at the Event Hall of Accelsiors CRO on 9th November, 2018.
Main topics of the course:
- Lecture 1: Introduce the topic and convince you it is interesting and perhaps even useful
- Lecture 2: Develop randomisation based approaches
- Lecture 3: Develop mixed-model based approaches
- Lecture 4: Other issues

Stephen Senn, the presenter for the short course is a Statistical Consultant, he has had a wide range of experiences in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. From 2011 to 2018 he was Head of the Competence Center for Methodology and Statistics at the Luxembourg Institute of Health and was previously a Professor in Statistics at the University of Glasgow (2003) and University College London (1995-2003).
He is the author of more than 250 scientific publications including three influential books in biostatistics and clinical research. His expertise is in statistical methods for drug development and statistical inference and he is well known as a lively and stimulating speaker on the statistical aspects of clinical trials.
